Welcome to Topknots & Tails, I am a mobile dog groomer in Poole providing grooming, walking and house visits for customers in Poole, Bournemouth and the surrounding areas.
Several years ago I worked in retail, but my real passion has always been for dogs.
In my spare time I would help my mother in law groom show dogs, along with my show dog Libby an English cocker spaniel who only liked to be groomed in the comfort of her own home.
A friend of mine asked if I would groom her dogs as a result in her home. I was recommended, word of mouth spread and Topknots & Tails was born.
Please be aware my mobile appointments are fully booked at the moment and I currently have a waiting list. I do have availability in my Salon in Poole for those who can get to me.
Sometimes I am able to offer a collection service for those who are local to the Poole area who are unable to travel to the Salon.

Tailored dog grooming in Poole to meet the needs of your dog. I am a mobile groomer and bring everything with me to your home but if your dog needs to be bathed I will need to use your bath or shower to do this.
Before any new appointment I will speak with you to understand your dog and what is needed. All dogs are different and have different needs.
Dogs feel comfortable in their own homes/environments. It’s their safe space and some dogs can take a while before they get used to you. I always take my time with your dogs and don’t rush. I can tell when the dogs have had enough.
This is great for all dogs but especially for those dogs who just do not like being groomed or are very nervous or anxious. For some dogs it may be a case where I go back another day and we keep it regular. By doing this the dogs start to become calmer and more relaxed.
All prices depend on the breed, size of dog and condition of coat.
A few months back I was looking for someone to walk, groom and help me to train my two lovely three year old, mixed breed terrier dogs. I wanted to find someone who would not only be professional, but treat my two dogs as I would, with firmness but tempered with care and affection.
Nina has proven to be the perfect answer for me and my dogs as they trust her completely. They look forward to her coming to my house and are happy to go with her, and are all smiles when they come back from a walk.
Grooming was a bit more unnerving for them, but with Nina's patience and kindness, they now go through the process much easier and are now two well adjusted, happy dogs.

For all those Yesss.. it’s the groomers, You know The stylish pups with the fabulous fur who loved to be pampered, or the four legged friends who are too cool for grooms, tolerating the process because at the end of the day they know the treats are coming. Finally Let’s not forget the smelly rollers. You got it, the stop drop and roll in the smelliest thing they can find usually stinky fox poop thinking that you actually like it.
